Behavior Expectations

PBIS = Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Your child will not bring home a behavior card. At Bethke, we use Positive Behavioral

Interventions and Supports, an approach to teaching and supporting positive behaviors and meeting the needs of ALL students. This school-wide approach to discipline focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students can learn.

The foundation of PBIS at Bethke Elementary is BISON:

· Be Respectful
·
Include Integrity
·
Stay Safe
·
Own Your Choices
·
Never Give Up

Bison Bucks

We will reinforce these behaviors with "BISON BUCKS". Students earn and cash-in Bison Bucks for extra privileges like lunch with friend, hat passes, stuffed animal passes, and even being principal for 30 minutes.

Reflection Sheets

If there is an issue we need to keep you informed about we will send home a reflection sheet filled out by your child. Please discuss the issue with your child, sign and return the reflection sheet to school.  However please know that if there is an issue that needs to be discussed in detail, we will reach out to you so that we can work together.
